    Hello Xabier

    If you attend any SAP EH&S training course / Sub modules of EH&S from SAP or Technidata, they provide only attendance certificate. They do not conduct nor provide any certificate like for other SAP modules.

    Hello Sachin

    Find herewith the standard dat format for collection of Specification. You need collect information as per the data file and convert using either LSMW or other import tool. Otherwise you can write simple excel marco so that it can convert entered value into the dat format.
    Technidata has one product called Data Editor / EH&S - OCC ( EH&S Open Content Connector) which can take specification in xml format.

    Is there any mechanism to automatic assignment of phrases to input fields in EHS module. Such as IHS data on Work Area Screen. As of now, i am doing manual assignment of phrases to these fields.

    Dear Vikram

    1) Create Characteristics with 30 character length with Phrase enabled characteristics
    2) Assign Function module C14K_Phrase* for making it phrase enabled
    3) Run Create standard phrase sets so that system created the phrase sets as stated in the characteristics name. (First 15 characters)
    4) Import Phrases which you want to enter to EH&S using CG31 and make sure you untick all the check boxes
    5) Merge the phrases to active Phrase library if you have already one.
    6) Finally again Import phrases with phrase set assignment using CG31 with "Phrase set assignment option"


    Coming to the point where automatic assignment of phrases to input fields in IHS - It already predefined Class which you will be using for assignment ( Which already contains phrase set assignment) hence you do not need to create again.

    Hello everyone... I need your help...I recently started in SAP and I have an EH&S implementation project, but I don't know where to start!!! We just need the Occupational Health part... I guess we need to configure first the Basic Data and Tools, can we leave it as SAP standard or what changes are needed first?

    What are the business process you will be covering under Occupational Health, that should be noted down first.
    These are dependencies for OH to function - 1) personal Administration 2) Organizational management 3) Business Partner 4) Basic Data and Tools and 5) industrial Hygine and safety (incase you want to use agents)

    I understand you are just starting the project. so the first things try to identify what are their present business practices. how they are being carried out and try to map them in a flow chart.

    Interviewer generally ask - 1) WWI 2) Property tree creation 3) Report shipping 4) DG Master 5) Data structure of Specification Workbench 6) How to do import and export

    All depends on what type of experience you are showing.. but these are generic questions interviewers are asking now a days

    How do we change existing data within a Specification.Suppose I have 1,2 and 3 Sort Sequences and I would like to change data for only sort Sequence 2.

    Which is the possible mode I need to use while loading and what is the Backend process to debug the tool?

    I'm a junior BW consultant. I want to learn EH$S module. But I don't know where I can start. I read the material "Dangerous Goods Management". I know these are for particular materials in SD/MM modules. How can I connect them to SD/MM? Thank you in advance.

    Dont deviate yourself from BW. Use of BW for EH&E reporting or Dashboard management will be the future. Try to extend your knowledge by learning Business Objects. Learn Environmental Compliance. You will fare very well.

    Hi,
    I have a mechanical engineering degree and a MBA in environmental management. My work experience is a year as a market analyst in the water treatment segment. I might get a possible sponsor now afor a SAP course and am breaking my head over what to do? I plan to do a course where in I would learn in module1: User in logistik(MM,Sales,PP basics) and module2: consultant in Sales(SCM605,SCM620, SCM600, SCM610,SCM615). This is a 6 month course daily 8 hrs.
    My question is I have an extreme interest in the aspect of EH&S and sustainability and carbon impact. SO do I abandon my original plan and look for EH&S oppurtunities here in Germany or would this course Im planning on doing be a good basis/platform for later investment in what i see as my career focus or are Logistics(MM,SD,SCM) not related to EH&S.

    Please consider that Im hard up for cash and need to get employed to support my family. So which would be a quicker way to enter the job market.

    Hello Ajay

    You can use the current opportunity (Logistics training) for your future EH&S ambition. Already you got good Domain knowledge (you should fare well in both EH&S and Business Process).
    Take this opportunity and get in to SAP consulting and slowly get into EH&S. You will be in demand once you do Logistics certification and learn EH&S. Currently EH&S has only training and certification. You will be better placed than other EH&S consultants.

    Hello,

    From SAP side its partner TechniData is offically eligible to provide EH&S training besides SAP itself. If you come across any other sources ... check what is the module they are teaching, what is the material they are providing, access to the system, number of days. I have seen institutes who bluff saying they teach EH&S and infact they copy content from something called SAP Best Practices documentation and just run through the sessions. Even they dont teach what is domain - MSDS, GLM, DG, IH&S there is more functional know also. Check these things. If its TechniData - they charge $1100 per module, and for each module they dividide into two sub modules one for overview and second for professional. So total courses come out to about 14 and will cost about 240000$. Check all these things. you please read my blog posts on EH&S trainings you will find more informatin. Currently EH&S has only training offering no Certification is available.

    I'm getting a clearer picture in my head now. Once i've started my training on Logistics,I think Ill have a clearer outlook on what module to pursue in EHS later. I've read through all your non technical blogs on EHS, definetely the most informative source i've found on the net for someone looking to get into EHS.

    I'm currently in Germany and not very mobile due to my commitments so will have to take up the options on offer here in Dresden. I will be questioning the training institute here on their offers in EH&S and otherwise.

    We have a question in regards to our I/A logs when a data entry is made during the initial creation of the log. When a user selects a PLANT and completes the rest of log and hits save and then realizes they selected the wrong PLANT. When we go back into edit the PLANT so it displays on the correct report, the field can not be modified. Do you have any suggestions for how this should be handled?

    Hello Angle,

    Extend the Log Profile to include = Reject Status, you can then reject the log and recreate the log . By doing that you can maintain audit trail. Another solution is delete and run deletion reporting program and recreate again.

    I am a PG in M.Sc Environmental Studies in the year 1999 and I have done relevent certification courses in EHS like Diploma in EHS and do have more than 11 yrs of experience in the field of Environment, Health & Safety in both MNC level Industries as well as Consultancies. Now I want shift my career to IT sector in SAP EH&S , for this very SAP EH&S I have got trained. Could you help me in understanding as how I can get a entry level job in SAP EH&S. After all these 11 yrs of my domain experience in EHS first thing you should know is I cannot go to a level of keeping a fake experience and try getting a job in SAP . Is it really that difficult for a person like me aged 37 yrs designated as Sr.Manager - EHS in an MNC in Andhra Pradesh, INDIA to acquire a job that I felt as a passion which is the only flatform in IT sector related to my experience. Please try to relate to me and kindly reslove if possible.

    We are in the process of making some changes to our work areas and creating new ones and discontinuing ones that are no longer required. We thought we could change the status and it would no longer be assessible from the drop downlist. The Work Areas are still being used in the drop down list. Is there a way so the old values can not be selected within the incident logs?

    Hi All,

    I have a list of comapny codes (sales organizations) which I have had to identify all specs that are being used. now in those specs, I have some REACH data, I need to delete some data from the these specs relevant to REACH. what is the best way to determine which data is relevant to REACH, and which data is more applicable to other modules (maybe by VAT???).

    Maybe another question is what are the main tables used in SAP REACH, maybe I can use the tables and then come up with a solution. Hopefully this is clear, but I am also a bit lost on what the client is asking.
